SNK Investments is an investment house founded by the Tejani family in order to manage their finances, and create wealth from the family’s existing base. The appetite of major banks to fund start-ups and grow SMEs has been adversely affected by the global economic crisis and uncertainty in the financial markets. Even when adequate funding can be provided, the costs and conditions attached to their support can be unattractive. If the investment opportunity is desirable, SNK can provide financial support.
The Family
The Tejani family are serial entrepreneurs who arrived in the UK in 1972 from Uganda with limited resources. Their first business venture was a convenience store but from there a European business was created, LPC Group PLC, operating in five countries and employing 1,300 staff. The business was sold in 2010 at which time it was Europe’s largest independent paper manufacturer, with a turnover of c£300m and EBITDA of c£39m, supplying private label products to the major supermarkets in the UK and Mainland Europe (Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Ald, Lidl, Carrefour etc).

The Tejani family also owned and operated LPC (Pharmaceuticals) Limited which was formed in 1978. The company operated a chain of retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical wholesale business and intellectual property rights. The wholesale and retail business was sold in 2014.
